Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Onion
  • Cheese
  • Buns

Mise en place

  • make patties - 4-5oz
  • Slice onion as thin as possible
  • slice cheese

Preparation

  • Get a pan up to a high heat
  • season patties
  • put onion on patties
  • put patties, onion side up, in the pan.
  • cook half way
  • flip trying to keep most of the onions under the patties
  • put cheese on patties
  • put heel on cheese
  • put crown - upside down on heel
  • cover pan with a tea towel
  • let cook for a few minutes
  • remove from pan while rearraging the crown to its appropriate position
  • serve
